Everyone Has to Eat

Food is so much more than a mix of ingredients on a plate. It’s an opportunity to try different things, or you could make the same meal your parents made when you were a child, except yours doesn’t taste the same. You could spend a year perfecting the dish—I know I have—but it doesn’t make a difference. As good as I am in the kitchen, I can’t recreate the taste of my past.

I have different intentions for the meal. When I was a child, my intention was to enjoy my favorite meal made by people who love me. As an adult, my intention is to make my favorite meal for the people I love, except I don’t have the right amount of patience, the perfect angle of my hand to disperse the spices, or the expectation that this meal will be the best meal they would eat for the week (because it’s their favorite, not because they only get one meal!)

We all have to eat, but some of us eat more or less than others. With so many different options to choose from, cooking can seem very daunting regardless of years of kitchen experience.  Recipes and food prep are probably the least exciting part of cooking but planning a meal or a menu could help our confidence as we look at (and eat) what we’ve created and it allows us to share our days with people around the table, sharing stories, jokes, or new adventures they are eager to share with us. If you prefer your own company, making a meal for one can be just as rewarding, and with less clean-up afterward, you can spend time doing other things you love.

Since food is vital for us all, creating recipes for all to enjoy has become a pastime and a hobby. Regardless of food preference, unique culinary pallet, or homemade necessity, I’m sure you will find a recipe that suits your needs and dietary preferences on this site. Don’t forget, I make food for your pets too!

The recipes are structured in a form that resembles a restaurant menu, including a breakfast, lunch, and dinner option, with appetizers/starters as part of the meal, a dessert, and a drink option for each meal. Additionally, each course comes with helpful hints and tips to be aware of while creating these simple-to-complex complete meals. Each menu and recipe combination will be released once a week to help with prep time and budget.

If you would like a recipe-menu as part of my services, I will write a new and unique ‘menu’ for you based on your preferences and allergies/intolerances.
