You will notice that most of my recipes have different instructions like 'chopped/boiled/shredded' and so on in the ingredient list/s. Any of the instructions or recommended cutting methods in –these separators– can be changed according to your cooking style, preference, and available utensils. Cooking isn't an exact science! Sometimes we need to wing it to make the meal work in our favor of flavor.

Recipe  Blog:
As the first place many of us go to for fuel and to feel the warmth of the heart of the house, the kitchen and what we can do there is often overlooked. I remember helping my mom in the kitchen as a child: The smells from the food still linger in my memory and with every dish I make, I try to replicate that feeling. The feeling of warmth and comfort found in the tasting spoon with the sounds of the oven in the background started my love for cooking and I haven't stopped since. I love spending time in the kitchen—although the "I'm lonely" screams of my parrot are a bit distracting—and I usually forget myself in my dishes. We call it the 'kitchen vortex' where 6 o'clock turns into 8 o'clock before any of us know what's happening.

Each recipe–menu will have a pet–friendly version of the main meal so your furry or feathery friends can enjoy mealtimes with you.
This alternate recipe has been designed with safety and dietary needs in mind. Most of my recipes can be made for children as well, with a few minor adjustments based on their allergies and/or food preferences. While children and pets have very different nutritional requirements, both can sometimes be sensitive to certain spices or ingredients that adults enjoy. For example, ingredients like chocolate, onions, or excessive salt should be avoided at all costs for pets, and some spices, for example, large amounts of nutmeg, mustard powder, and Cayenne pepper may not be suitable for young children.

To make things simpler, I’ve provided an alternate version of the recipe so you can enjoy preparing safe and delicious meals for all the members of your family (human and furry/feathery alike!)

  • Each recipe–menu will be released by 6 P.M. EST on Fridays to help you plan your weekend meals.

  • Each new week starts on the first of that month, and the upcoming recipe–menu will fall in line closest to the Friday after the 1st.

  • On months with five weeks ( January, May, August, and October in 2025, January, May, July, and October in 2026, etc.) I will post on the final week of the month since there are only four slots per page, with some exceptions based on my schedule, etc.
